Stratum Marquetry® Lifetime Guarantee
At Stratum Marquetry, we reject the throwaway culture that devalues craftsmanship, erodes consumer expectations, and harms our planet. It is this philosophy that underpins our commitment to you through our Lifetime Guarantee.
Scope of Guarantee
1.1. This Lifetime Guarantee (“Guarantee”) applies exclusively to Stratum Marquetry LTD products (“Products”) purchased directly from Stratum Marquetry—either via our website or by telephone—and is valid for the original purchaser (“You”) for domestic, non-commercial use (with the sole exception of small-scale home-based businesses).
1.2. This Guarantee runs for the lifetime of the Product, defined as the period during which the Product is reasonably expected to be serviceable under normal domestic use.Our Commitment
We stand behind every piece we make. Should your Product exhibit any defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, we will at our discretion:Repair the Product;
Replace it (recycling original materials wherever possible); or
Provide you with the necessary parts and step-by-step instructions for a DIY home repair.
Claims Process
To make a claim under this Guarantee:
3.1. Notify us within 30 days of discovering the defect by emailing guarantees@stratummarquetry.co.uk or calling 01736 123 456.
3.2. Provide your name, date of purchase, order reference (or invoice number), and clear photographs showing the defect.
3.3. Return shipping of the Product (or affected component) to our workshop in Nancegollan, Cornwall, is at your expense. We will reimburse reasonable return postage costs for approved claims.
3.4. For any Products located within a 30-mile radius of our workshop, we offer complimentary collection and delivery for approved repairs or replacements.What Is Not Covered
4.1. Normal wear and tear (patina, minor scratches, fading).
4.2. Damage caused by accident, misuse, negligence, alteration, improper care, or lack of maintenance.
4.3. Damage resulting from natural disasters (e.g. flooding, fire, storms).
4.4. Commercial or institutional use.
4.5. Electrical or third-party components (e.g. light fittings, bulbs, wiring) are excluded from this Guarantee, as these are not manufactured by Stratum Marquetry. We will, however, offer reasonable support and supply replacement parts at cost.Exclusions & Limitations
5.1. This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5.2. Our total liability for any claim shall under no circumstances exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
5.3. This Guarantee is void if the Product is moved outside the United Kingdom without our prior written consent.Care Guidelines
